Rose bouquet delivery in Toronto and York Region
Every rose bouquet here is designed by hand in our studio in Oak Ridges, at the north end of Richmond Hill, then driven to the door. We deliver across York Region (Richmond Hill, Markham, Vaughan, Newmarket, Aurora and the towns around them) and into Toronto.
Order by 1 pm and most postal codes can have roses the same day. Pick a morning or afternoon window, or leave it as anytime. You can also book a date weeks ahead, which is handy for the anniversary you refuse to forget again.
Delivery fees are based on driving distance and show at checkout. The Toronto delivery page has the details for the city, and if it's already late morning, the same-day flowers collection is the fastest place to start.
One honest note: roses are a natural product. If a stem isn't at its best on the day, we replace it with one of equal or higher value in the same colours, keeping the look and size of the bouquet you chose.
How many roses should you send?
There's no wrong number. Some people read meaning into the count (see the guide below), but most of us choose by the size of the moment and the budget.
25 roses is the everyday showpiece: full and round, yet still at home in an ordinary vase. Birthdays, a first anniversary, a thank you that needs to land. Blush and Pearls and Rosewater both sit here in soft pinks, while Red Ink and Ballet Bow put an initial on 25 red roses.
50 roses is where people notice from across the room. Blush Ring (pink and white with a baby's breath rim), Strawberry Lace (red and pink) and Lilac and Linen (lavender and white) are all 50 stems.
100 roses is for proposals, milestone anniversaries and the kind of apology that needs witnesses.
If you can't decide, Heart and Wing comes in 25, 50, 75 or 100 red roses, with gold hearts and a gold butterfly on top, so you can pick the same design at the size that suits you.

Choosing a rose colour, or mixing a few
Red still does the heavy lifting for romance, and there's nothing lazy about it. If the card says I love you, red roses agree. For everything else, colour is where you show you know the person.
- Pink is warm without being loaded, so it's the safe bet for a birthday, a mother, a friend or a new relationship.
- White feels calm and clean. Lovely for a wedding anniversary or for someone whose home is all neutrals. Cashmere Rose and Full Moon go big on white.
- Lavender is the less expected choice, a little dreamy. Lilac and Linen mixes it through white.
- Mixed colours soften the message. Strawberry Lace (red with pink) and Macaron (white roses with peach, pink and lavender spray roses) read playful rather than serious.
A trick that beats any chart: think about the colours they wear most, or the room the flowers will live in. If you'd like the traditional meanings anyway, our journal has a full guide to rose colour meanings, and the love and romance collection gathers our most romantic designs in one place.
100 roses and beyond: what to expect
A 100 rose bouquet is heavy. Plan for it. It usually takes both arms to carry, and most household vases are too narrow for that many stems. Have a wide, heavy vase or a clean bucket ready, or split the roses into two or three smaller vases once the photos are done.
Our biggest red bouquets each have their own personality. Black Tie is 100 premium red roses and nothing else, in soft ruffled black wrap that makes the red look deeper. Gala Night adds a thick rim of baby's breath and a red satin bow. Monarch Night has gold filigree butterflies clustered near the top. For white, Cashmere Rose is 100 white roses in warm neutral wraps with an initial on top.
Then there are the two that need a bit of floor space: Full Moon, 150 white roses in a big rounded dome, and Wreathed in Pink, 150 pink roses with a flower rim and a satin banner.
For a proposal or a surprise, a morning delivery window gives the flowers time to arrive before the moment. For condos, double-check the unit number and buzzer code at checkout. An armful of roses does not wait well in a lobby.

How to make a rose bouquet last
Roses are tougher than their reputation, but they sulk if they're left dry. When the bouquet arrives:
- Take off the wrap. On a big hand-tied bouquet, keep the binding at the stems in place if you want it to hold its round shape.
- Recut the stems about 2 cm on an angle with a sharp knife or clean secateurs.
- Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
- Fill a clean vase with cool to lukewarm water and add flower food if you have it.
- Top up daily, and change the water every two days, recutting as you go.
Keep the vase away from radiators, sunny windowsills and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, which ages flowers faster.
If a head droops just under the bloom (florists call it bent neck), recut the stem, then wrap the rose upright in paper and stand it in deep, cool water for an hour or two. It often straightens. With good care, most roses last about a week, sometimes longer. Our fresh cut flower care guide goes into more detail.
What the number of roses usually means
Florist conventions, not rules. Treat them as a nudge, not a code.
- 01
1 rose
Often read as love at first sight, or simply you're the one. Small, but hard to misread.
- 02
12 roses
The classic dozen. Traditionally a declaration of love, the bouquet most people picture when they hear red roses.
- 03
20 roses
No strong tradition, which is rather freeing. Ribbon Cascade is 20 red roses in a flat, carried-in-the-arm style.
- 04
25 roses
Often sent as congratulations, and a natural fit for a 25th birthday or anniversary. Many of our pink and red bouquets come at this size.
- 05
50 roses
Associated with unconditional love, and an easy match for a 50th birthday or a golden anniversary.
- 06
75 roses
No set meaning. A step up from 50 without going all the way. Heart and Wing comes at this size.
- 07
100 roses
Usually read as complete devotion, a hundred percent. The proposal and big anniversary size.
- 08
150 roses
Past tradition and into pure scale. Full Moon (white) and Wreathed in Pink are both 150 stems.

Can I get roses delivered the same day in Toronto?
Yes, in most cases. Order by 1 pm and we can deliver the same day to most postal codes in Toronto and York Region. The delivery fee is based on driving distance from our studio in Richmond Hill. You'll see the exact fee at checkout.
How many roses are in a bouquet?
There's no standard size, so we list the count in each design's description. In this collection you'll find rose bouquets of 20, 25, 50, 75, 100 and 150 stems, and Heart and Wing lets you choose 25, 50, 75 or 100 red roses for the same design.
What does a 100 rose bouquet mean?
By convention, 100 roses stand for complete devotion. People choose them for proposals, milestone anniversaries and big birthdays. It's a heavy bouquet, so have a wide vase ready, or plan to split the stems between a few vases once it arrives.
How long do roses last after delivery?
Usually about a week, sometimes longer. Recut the stems on an angle, use a clean vase with fresh water and flower food, change the water every two days and keep them away from heat and ripening fruit. Roses in a cool room last noticeably longer than ones on a sunny windowsill.
Why is my rose drooping at the neck?
That's called bent neck. It usually means an air bubble or blockage is stopping water from reaching the head. Recut about 2 cm off the stem, wrap the rose upright in paper and stand it in deep, cool water for an hour or two. Many roses straighten up again.
Will the price be included with the roses?
No. Prices are never included with a delivery. Your card message is typed at checkout and tucked in with the flowers, so the recipient sees your words and the roses, nothing else.
