The design
About Quiet Lilies
Kept entirely to white and green, this large sympathy basket has white roses standing tall over a lower band of open white lilies, with a few lily buds still to open. Palm leaves fan out behind and below, and soft eucalyptus fills the sides, so the piece looks full from the front. In the photo it sits in a woven basket.
It's meant for funerals and sympathy. It keeps to white flowers and green leaves, nothing that competes, and sits well on a table at a service or in a family home. It is a quiet way to say you are thinking of them, from a friend, a neighbour or a team at work, when words feel too small.
One size, at $135. We make it by hand in our Oak Ridges studio from that day's flowers; if a stem is not at its best, we use one of equal or higher value in the same colours, keeping the look and size. Please know that lilies are toxic to cats, so if the family has a cat, mention it in the order notes and we will design around it. You can add a message, and we tuck it in with the flowers.

Care guide
How to care for Quiet Lilies
It arrives ready to set down. A minute a day keeps it looking its best.
Find a cool spot
Out of direct sun, away from heaters, drafts and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, which ages flowers faster.
Top it up daily
Arrangements drink more than you would think, especially in the first few days. Check it every day and add cool, clean water.
Lift out what fades
Pull out any stem that wilts so the rest stay looking fresh and the water stays clean.
A second life
When it starts to tire, rescue the best stems: recut them and give them a small vase of their own.
Flower by flower
Roses
Keep every leaf above the waterline. If a head starts to droop, recut the stem and stand it in a few centimetres of warm water for an hour.
Lilies
Pull off the orange pollen tips as each flower opens, with a tissue, to save petals and tablecloths from stains. Snip faded blooms so the buds keep coming.
For this design
- Keep the basket somewhere cool and out of direct sun. When the display has had its moment, the flowers can be lifted out, recut and put in a vase, well out of reach of any cat.
A note for pet homes
Lilies are highly toxic to cats, including the pollen and the vase water, so keep this one well away from them. If they have a pet, say so in your order notes and we will design around it.

Is Quiet Lilies safe for a home with cats?
Lilies are toxic to cats, including the pollen and vase water, so this basket is not a good fit for a home with a cat. If you know there is one, mention it in the order notes and we will design around it, keeping the white and green feel.
What comes in the Quiet Lilies sympathy basket?
White roses standing tall over open white lilies and a few lily buds, with palm leaves fanning out behind and below and eucalyptus at the sides. It comes in one size, priced at $135, and arrives in a basket ready to set down.
Can I send Quiet Lilies to a family home the same day?
For most postal codes, yes, as long as the order is in by 1 pm. We deliver across Richmond Hill, Toronto and York Region seven days a week. Add a message at checkout and we tuck it in with the flowers; the price is never included.
Can I add a gift message?
Yes, and it is free. Write it on this page or at checkout and we tuck the card in with the flowers. Prices are never included with a delivery.
What if it arrives damaged or the order is wrong?
Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos. After a quick review we send a replacement of equal value at no charge, or refund you in full to your original payment method.
Can I return or exchange it?
Fresh flowers are perishable, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges except when the order arrived damaged or was the wrong order. We also cannot refund an order sent to an incorrect address, one the recipient was not available to receive, or one you change your mind about after it has been prepared.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, free of charge until we start preparing it. Call (437) 291-5605 or email support@larisflorist.com as early as you can, especially for same-day orders. Once the flowers have been prepared or delivered, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
