The design
About Peony Season
Twenty pink peonies, some still in tight bud and some fully open, give this peony bouquet a bit of a timeline built in. Mixed roses and a little hydrangea are tucked between them, and a few cream roses break up the pink so it never looks flat. It is wrapped in blush paper and tied with a pale pink ribbon.
Send it to the person who checks the market every week in May and has opinions about peony scent. It also suits anyone who simply loves soft, full, frilly flowers. The tight buds keep opening after delivery, so they get to watch it happen.

When they are in, we make it by hand in our Oak Ridges studio from that day's flowers and deliver across Richmond Hill, Toronto and York Region seven days a week, with same-day delivery for most postal codes when you order by 1 pm.

How to care for Peony Season
Five small habits that add days to any bouquet, then the tips that matter for these flowers.
Into water, fast
Unwrap it and get the stems into water as soon as it arrives. The wrap looks lovely, but stems cannot drink through paper.
A fresh cut
Trim about 2 cm off each stem at an angle with sharp scissors or a knife. A clean, slanted cut gives them more room to drink.
Clean vase, cool water
Fill a clean vase with cool water and stir in the flower food if there is a sachet. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
Every two days
Change the water and give the stems a small trim. Cloudy water is the quickest way to shorten a bouquet's life.
Choose the spot
Keep it away from direct sun, heaters, drafts and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, a gas that ages flowers faster.
Flower by flower
Peonies
Closed buds open in a day or two in room-temperature water. Want them to wait for the weekend? Keep the vase somewhere cool.
Roses
Keep every leaf above the waterline. If a head starts to droop, recut the stem and stand it in a few centimetres of warm water for an hour.
Hydrangeas
Hydrangeas drink through their petals as well as their stems. If a head wilts, recut it and sink the whole head in cool water for 30 to 60 minutes.

- Take off the blush wrap and pale pink ribbon before the bouquet goes into a vase. Peonies swell as they open, so pick a vase with some room at the top.
A note for pet homes
The peonies and hydrangeas here can upset cats and dogs if eaten. If they have a pet, say so in your order notes and we will design around it.

Arrived damaged, or not what you ordered? Tell us within 24 hours with your order number and a photo. We replace the flowers at no charge or refund you in full.
If a stem is not at its best on the day, it does not go in. We use one of equal or higher value in the same colours, so the look and size stay the same.
Change or cancel free of charge until we start making it. Once the flowers are prepared or delivered, they are perishable and cannot be returned or refunded.
Please check the address and the recipient's phone number. We cannot refund an order sent to a wrong address or one nobody was there to receive.

How many peonies are in Peony Season?
Twenty pink peonies, mixed with roses, a few of them cream, and a little hydrangea. Some peonies arrive in tight bud and some fully open, so the bouquet keeps changing after delivery. It comes in one size, priced at $175.
Why do some of the peonies arrive in bud?
On purpose. Tight buds open over the following days, which gives the bouquet a longer show. A closed peony bud should feel slightly soft when you squeeze it gently, a sign it is ready to open in the vase.
Can I order Peony Season out of season?
It depends on the week. Call us on (437) 291-5605 to check availability before you order. When peonies are not in, have a look at our pink rose bouquets for a similar soft, full look, with same-day delivery across Richmond Hill, Toronto and York Region.
Can Peony Season be delivered today?
Yes, to most postal codes in York Region and Toronto when you order by 1 pm. Pick today on this page or at checkout; we confirm it against the postal code before you pay.
Can I add a gift message?
Yes, and it is free. Write it on this page or at checkout and we tuck the card in with the flowers. Prices are never included with a delivery.
What if it arrives damaged or the order is wrong?
Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos. After a quick review we send a replacement of equal value at no charge, or refund you in full to your original payment method.
Can I return or exchange it?
Fresh flowers are perishable, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges except when the order arrived damaged or was the wrong order. We also cannot refund an order sent to an incorrect address, one the recipient was not available to receive, or one you change your mind about after it has been prepared.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, free of charge until we start preparing it. Call (437) 291-5605 or email support@larisflorist.com as early as you can, especially for same-day orders. Once the flowers have been prepared or delivered, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
