The design
About Claret Tulip
A dozen red roses, but with company. Twelve deep red roses sit among ten white tulips in this tulips and roses bouquet, and small pearl pins rest in the hearts of the roses. The tulips stand a little above the roses, so the white reads clearly against the red. It comes wrapped in textured white paper and tied with red ribbon.
It is a good pick for Valentine's Day, a birthday or an anniversary, especially for someone who loves red roses but would enjoy something a little less expected than a dozen on their own. The tulips keep it light and springlike, and they tend to shift and open in the vase, so the bouquet changes a little each morning.
It's $95, one size, and arrives as a wrapped bouquet. Tulips are seasonal, so if a stem is not at its best on the day we swap it for one of equal or higher value in the same red and white. There's room for a gift message, which we tuck in with the flowers. Order by 1 pm for same-day delivery to most postal codes, or choose a future date at checkout.

Care guide
How to care for Claret Tulip
Five small habits that add days to any bouquet, then the tips that matter for these flowers.
Into water, fast
Unwrap it and get the stems into water as soon as it arrives. The wrap looks lovely, but stems cannot drink through paper.
A fresh cut
Trim about 2 cm off each stem at an angle with sharp scissors or a knife. A clean, slanted cut gives them more room to drink.
Clean vase, cool water
Fill a clean vase with cool water and stir in the flower food if there is a sachet. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
Every two days
Change the water and give the stems a small trim. Cloudy water is the quickest way to shorten a bouquet's life.
Choose the spot
Keep it away from direct sun, heaters, drafts and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, a gas that ages flowers faster.
Flower by flower
Roses
Keep every leaf above the waterline. If a head starts to droop, recut the stem and stand it in a few centimetres of warm water for an hour.
Tulips
Use a tall vase with only a few centimetres of cool water, and turn it every day so they stand straight instead of chasing the window.
For this design
- The pearl pins sit in the centres of the roses; ease them out before you recut the stems and slide them back once the flowers are in the vase.
A note for pet homes
The tulips here can upset cats and dogs if eaten. If they have a pet, say so in your order notes and we will design around it.

How many flowers are in Claret Tulip?
Twenty-two in all: twelve deep red roses and ten white tulips. Small pearl pins sit in the hearts of the roses, and everything is wrapped in textured white paper and tied with red ribbon.
Will the tulips change after delivery?
Yes, a little. Tulips often keep stretching and turning toward the light after they are cut, and their petals open wider as they settle. If they start to lean, trim the stems and turn the vase. It is part of their charm next to the steadier roses.
Is Claret Tulip a good alternative to a dozen red roses?
That is exactly what it is for. You still get twelve deep red roses, but the ten white tulips and the pearl pins make it feel lighter and more personal. It comes in one size, $95, as a wrapped bouquet.
Can Claret Tulip be delivered today?
Yes, to most postal codes in York Region and Toronto when you order by 1 pm. Pick today on this page or at checkout; we confirm it against the postal code before you pay.
Can I add a gift message?
Yes, and it is free. Write it on this page or at checkout and we tuck the card in with the flowers. Prices are never included with a delivery.
What if it arrives damaged or the order is wrong?
Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos. After a quick review we send a replacement of equal value at no charge, or refund you in full to your original payment method.
Can I return or exchange it?
Fresh flowers are perishable, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges except when the order arrived damaged or was the wrong order. We also cannot refund an order sent to an incorrect address, one the recipient was not available to receive, or one you change your mind about after it has been prepared.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, free of charge until we start preparing it. Call (437) 291-5605 or email support@larisflorist.com as early as you can, especially for same-day orders. Once the flowers have been prepared or delivered, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
