The design
About Lily Garland
A round bed of fifty pink and white roses sits at the centre, circled by pink and white lilies, with a few green buds still closed at the edge. A satin banner runs straight across the middle, and a double wrap in soft peach frames the whole thing. Seen from above, the lilies form a garland around the roses rather than piling up on top.
Made for anniversaries, birthdays and proposals, when you want the flowers to carry the words as well. The photos show Happy Birthday on the banner, but the words are yours: their name, a year that matters, a line only the two of you will get.
One size: 50 roses with lilies, $210. The banner is customised and required, with no extra charge; tell us the words when you order. Like every order, it's made by hand in our Oak Ridges studio, and it arrives as a wrapped bouquet. Lilies are toxic to cats, so if the recipient has one, add a note to your order and we will design around it. Same-day delivery reaches most postal codes when the order is in by 1 pm.

Care guide
How to care for Lily Garland
Five small habits that add days to any bouquet, then the tips that matter for these flowers.
Into water, fast
Unwrap it and get the stems into water as soon as it arrives. The wrap looks lovely, but stems cannot drink through paper.
A fresh cut
Trim about 2 cm off each stem at an angle with sharp scissors or a knife. A clean, slanted cut gives them more room to drink.
Clean vase, cool water
Fill a clean vase with cool water and stir in the flower food if there is a sachet. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
Every two days
Change the water and give the stems a small trim. Cloudy water is the quickest way to shorten a bouquet's life.
Choose the spot
Keep it away from direct sun, heaters, drafts and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, a gas that ages flowers faster.
Flower by flower
Roses
Keep every leaf above the waterline. If a head starts to droop, recut the stem and stand it in a few centimetres of warm water for an hour.
Lilies
Pull off the orange pollen tips as each flower opens, with a tissue, to save petals and tablecloths from stains. Snip faded blooms so the buds keep coming.
For this design
- The green lily buds around the edge usually open over the following days, so leave them on.
- Lift the satin banner off before you recut the stems, then lay it back across the roses.
A note for pet homes
Lilies are highly toxic to cats, including the pollen and the vase water, so keep this one well away from them. If they have a pet, say so in your order notes and we will design around it.

Arrived damaged, or not what you ordered? Tell us within 24 hours with your order number and a photo. We replace the flowers at no charge or refund you in full.
If a stem is not at its best on the day, it does not go in. We use one of equal or higher value in the same colours, so the look and size stay the same.
Change or cancel free of charge until we start making it. Once the flowers are prepared or delivered, they are perishable and cannot be returned or refunded.
Please check the address and the recipient's phone number. We cannot refund an order sent to a wrong address or one nobody was there to receive.
Full details in our returns and refunds policy.
Is Lily Garland a good choice if they own a cat?
Not as it is. Lilies are toxic to cats; the petals, leaves, pollen and even the vase water can cause serious kidney problems. If the recipient has a cat, mention it in the order notes and we will design around it.
What does the banner on Lily Garland say?
Whatever you choose. The banner is required, and you tell us the words when you order; there is no extra charge. The bouquet in the photos reads Happy Birthday, but names, dates and short messages all work.
What are the green buds around the edge?
Lily buds that have not opened yet. They sit among the open pink and white lilies around the ring of roses, and they usually open in the days after delivery, so the bouquet keeps changing after it arrives.
Can Lily Garland be delivered today?
Yes, to most postal codes in York Region and Toronto when you order by 1 pm. Pick today on this page or at checkout; we confirm it against the postal code before you pay.
Can I add a gift message?
Yes, and it is free. Write it on this page or at checkout and we tuck the card in with the flowers. Prices are never included with a delivery.
What if it arrives damaged or the order is wrong?
Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos. After a quick review we send a replacement of equal value at no charge, or refund you in full to your original payment method.
Can I return or exchange it?
Fresh flowers are perishable, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges except when the order arrived damaged or was the wrong order. We also cannot refund an order sent to an incorrect address, one the recipient was not available to receive, or one you change your mind about after it has been prepared.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, free of charge until we start preparing it. Call (437) 291-5605 or email support@larisflorist.com as early as you can, especially for same-day orders. Once the flowers have been prepared or delivered, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
