About Laris Florist

The Richmond Hill florist who learned flowers petal by petal

Laris Florist is a small flower studio in Oak Ridges, Richmond Hill. It began with flowers that could never wilt, shaped by hand from flower paste, and grew into hand-tied bouquets and arrangements delivered across York Region and Toronto.

01Where it started

Petals that could never wilt

Long before the studio, there were flowers made from Chinese flower paste. Our founder found them young and spent hours, in their own words, “immersed in the beauty of crafting nature’s wonders by hand.”

Shaping a petal from paste teaches you how a real one works: where a rose is thin enough to curl, how a peony folds in on itself, why no two leaves sit quite the same way.

02Then, fresh flowers

The same hands, real stems

Years later the paste gave way to fresh flowers, and the patience came along with it. A Laris bouquet is built slowly: stems turned in the hand one at a time until the shape sits right, colours placed so they talk to each other.

The aim hasn't changed since the first paste rose. Flowers that celebrate art, beauty and emotion, and look the way flowers actually grow.

03What we believe

Every bouquet tells a story

Flowers say the things people struggle to put into words. The roses for a first anniversary. The sunflowers for a friend who finally got the job. The quiet white arrangement for a family that has just lost someone.

So we think about the person and the moment as much as the flowers, and we treat the card message as half the gift. Prices are never included with a delivery.

04Where they go

From our studio to their door

We're a delivery florist. There's no shop counter, so the studio's whole day goes into making flowers and getting them out the door, seven days a week.

Order by 1 pm and we deliver the same day across York Region and Toronto. Delivery is priced by driving distance from Oak Ridges, starting at $12, and you see the fee before you pay.

How we work

A few things we always do

No mission statement. Just the habits that decide how your flowers are made, wrapped and delivered.

  • 01

    Made by hand, here

Every bouquet is designed and hand-tied in our studio in Oak Ridges, Richmond Hill.

  • 02

    Season first

We work with what's in season and looking its best. If a stem isn't up to it on the day, we swap it for one of equal or higher value in the same colours.

  • 03

    Prices stay private

The recipient gets the flowers and your card. Never a price.

  • 04

    Pets and allergies

Lilies are toxic to cats. Mention a pet or an allergy in your order notes and we design around it.

  • 05

    Delivery, not a counter

We don't take walk-ins or pickups. Order by 1 pm for same-day delivery, with fees from $12 by distance, and free delivery over $300 within 35 km.

  • 06

    Open seven days a week

We deliver and answer the phone every day, Sundays included, so a forgotten birthday is still fixable.

Got a story for us?

A birthday, a thank you, a wedding, a hard week. Tell us who the flowers are for and we'll take it from there.
