The design
About Scarlet Halo
A thick halo of white baby's breath circles this 50 roses bouquet all the way round, and inside it sit fifty premium red roses in a deep, velvety shade. Pink lilies sweep across one top corner, some open and some just starting to, which breaks up the circle nicely. Pointed black paper frames the lot, tied at the stems with a red satin ribbon. In the studio photo, a small red heart sits among the roses.
The white rim makes the red look even richer, and the lilies add a softer note. It is a strong choice for Valentine's Day, an anniversary or a birthday, especially for someone who enjoys a bit of drama. Because some of the lilies are only starting to open, the bouquet keeps changing after it comes through the door.
Scarlet Halo is $215 and arrives as a wrapped bouquet, gift message included. One heads-up: lilies are toxic to cats. If the recipient has one, let us know in the order notes and we'll design around it.

Care guide
How to care for Scarlet Halo
Five small habits that add days to any bouquet, then the tips that matter for these flowers.
Into water, fast
Unwrap it and get the stems into water as soon as it arrives. The wrap looks lovely, but stems cannot drink through paper.
A fresh cut
Trim about 2 cm off each stem at an angle with sharp scissors or a knife. A clean, slanted cut gives them more room to drink.
Clean vase, cool water
Fill a clean vase with cool water and stir in the flower food if there is a sachet. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
Every two days
Change the water and give the stems a small trim. Cloudy water is the quickest way to shorten a bouquet's life.
Choose the spot
Keep it away from direct sun, heaters, drafts and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, a gas that ages flowers faster.
Flower by flower
Roses
Keep every leaf above the waterline. If a head starts to droop, recut the stem and stand it in a few centimetres of warm water for an hour.
Baby's breath
It dries beautifully. When the rest of the bouquet is done, hang a few stems upside down somewhere dark and dry for a keepsake.
Lilies
Pull off the orange pollen tips as each flower opens, with a tissue, to save petals and tablecloths from stains. Snip faded blooms so the buds keep coming.
For this design
- Lilies are toxic to cats, so keep this bouquet well out of reach in a home with one. When you take the black wrap off, slide it down from the top so the baby's breath rim stays fluffed out around the roses.
A note for pet homes
Lilies are highly toxic to cats, including the pollen and the vase water, so keep this one well away from them. The baby's breath can also upset cats and dogs if eaten. If they have a pet, say so in your order notes and we will design around it.

If a stem is not at its best on the day, it does not go in. We use one of equal or higher value in the same colours, so the look and size stay the same.
Change or cancel free of charge until we start making it. Once the flowers are prepared or delivered, they are perishable and cannot be returned or refunded.
Please check the address and the recipient's phone number. We cannot refund an order sent to a wrong address or one nobody was there to receive.

Are the lilies in Scarlet Halo safe for cats?
No. Lilies are toxic to cats, even in small amounts, so this bouquet is not a good fit for a home with a cat as it stands. If that applies, mention it in the order notes and we will design around it.
How many roses are in Scarlet Halo?
Fifty premium red roses in a deep, velvety shade. They are ringed with white baby's breath, with pink lilies sweeping across one top corner, and wrapped in pointed black paper with a red satin ribbon.
Why add lilies to a red rose bouquet?
Fifty red roses in a circle can look very uniform. The pink lilies break up that shape at one corner and soften the deep red, and because some arrive still in bud, they open after delivery and keep the bouquet looking lively.
Can Scarlet Halo be delivered today?
Yes, to most postal codes in York Region and Toronto when you order by 1 pm. Pick today on this page or at checkout; we confirm it against the postal code before you pay.
Can I add a gift message?
Yes, and it is free. Write it on this page or at checkout and we tuck the card in with the flowers. Prices are never included with a delivery.
What if it arrives damaged or the order is wrong?
Contact us within 24 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos. After a quick review we send a replacement of equal value at no charge, or refund you in full to your original payment method.
Can I return or exchange it?
Fresh flowers are perishable, so we cannot accept returns or exchanges except when the order arrived damaged or was the wrong order. We also cannot refund an order sent to an incorrect address, one the recipient was not available to receive, or one you change your mind about after it has been prepared.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Yes, free of charge until we start preparing it. Call (437) 291-5605 or email support@larisflorist.com as early as you can, especially for same-day orders. Once the flowers have been prepared or delivered, the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
