The design
About Ribbon Cascade
Laid out long and flat rather than rounded into a dome, these twenty premium red roses all get to show their heads. It is a different way to give red roses. They sit in crisp white paper, with a sprig of baby's breath at the base and a sheer ribbon edged in tiny pearls trailing down the front, and a red bow ties the stems.
It has an old-fashioned, carried-in-the-arms feel, like something handed over at a train platform in an old film. A good pick for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, a birthday or an anniversary, and for anyone who finds big round bouquets a little much.
One size, at $105, delivered as a wrapped bouquet. We make it by hand in our Oak Ridges studio from that day's roses, and if any are not at their best we use roses of equal or higher value in the same colour. Order by 1 pm for same-day delivery to most postal codes in Richmond Hill, Toronto and York Region, seven days a week, or choose a future date at checkout.

Care guide
How to care for Ribbon Cascade
Five small habits that add days to any bouquet, then the tips that matter for these flowers.
Into water, fast
Unwrap it and get the stems into water as soon as it arrives. The wrap looks lovely, but stems cannot drink through paper.
A fresh cut
Trim about 2 cm off each stem at an angle with sharp scissors or a knife. A clean, slanted cut gives them more room to drink.
Clean vase, cool water
Fill a clean vase with cool water and stir in the flower food if there is a sachet. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
Every two days
Change the water and give the stems a small trim. Cloudy water is the quickest way to shorten a bouquet's life.
Choose the spot
Keep it away from direct sun, heaters, drafts and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, a gas that ages flowers faster.
Flower by flower
Roses
Keep every leaf above the waterline. If a head starts to droop, recut the stem and stand it in a few centimetres of warm water for an hour.
Baby's breath
It dries beautifully. When the rest of the bouquet is done, hang a few stems upside down somewhere dark and dry for a keepsake.
For this design
- The flat wrap is made to be carried in the arms, so support it along its length rather than by the stems alone. The pearl-edged ribbon is worth keeping; untie it before the roses go into a vase.
A note for pet homes
The baby's breath here can upset cats and dogs if eaten. If they have a pet, say so in your order notes and we will design around it.
Freshness
Made the day it's delivered. Not a day before.

What is a flat-style bouquet?
Instead of a round dome, the roses are laid in a long, flat cascade so every head shows, the way bouquets used to be carried in the arms. In Ribbon Cascade that means twenty premium red roses in crisp white paper with a pearl-edged ribbon.
How many roses are in Ribbon Cascade?
Twenty premium red roses, with a sprig of baby's breath at the base. It comes in one size, priced at $105, with a red bow at the stems and a sheer ribbon edged in tiny pearls trailing down the front.

We also cannot refund an order sent to an incorrect address, one the recipient was not available to receive, or one you change your mind about after it has been prepared.
