The design
About Heart and Wing
Red roses gathered into a full, rounded bouquet, with a gold butterfly settled on top and small gold hearts scattered between the blooms. The wrap is translucent white edged in coral red, folded in layers so it fans out around the roses like an extra ring of petals.
Pick it when you want red roses that feel personal rather than standard issue. The hearts give a proposal or an anniversary a playful wink, and the butterfly reads as a small celebration. It works for Valentine's Day and birthdays too, and the gold stays an accent; the roses are still the point.
Choose 25 roses ($110), 50 ($185), 75 ($275) or 100 ($410), depending on how big you want to go. At 25 it is an easy armful; at 100 it is a showpiece, so make sure they have a big vase handy. Each one is a wrapped bouquet made by hand in our Oak Ridges studio. Orders placed by 1 pm can usually be delivered the same day to most postal codes in Richmond Hill, York Region and Toronto.

Care guide
How to care for Heart and Wing
Five small habits that add days to any bouquet, then the tips that matter for these flowers.
Into water, fast
Unwrap it and get the stems into water as soon as it arrives. The wrap looks lovely, but stems cannot drink through paper.
A fresh cut
Trim about 2 cm off each stem at an angle with sharp scissors or a knife. A clean, slanted cut gives them more room to drink.
Clean vase, cool water
Fill a clean vase with cool water and stir in the flower food if there is a sachet. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
Every two days
Change the water and give the stems a small trim. Cloudy water is the quickest way to shorten a bouquet's life.
Choose the spot
Keep it away from direct sun, heaters, drafts and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, a gas that ages flowers faster.
Flower by flower
Roses
Keep every leaf above the waterline. If a head starts to droop, recut the stem and stand it in a few centimetres of warm water for an hour.
For this design
- The gold hearts and butterfly sit among the rose heads; take them out before you recut the stems and tuck them back once the roses are in water.

Which size of Heart and Wing should I choose?
25 roses ($110) suits a birthday or a first Valentine's Day. 50 ($185) or 75 ($275) feels right for an anniversary. 100 roses ($410) is the proposal or milestone size. Every size has the gold butterfly, gold hearts and coral-edged wrap.
What are the gold details on the roses?
