Red rose bouquets by size
Start with the number of roses. It sets the price, the size of vase you'll need and, if you care about tradition, the message.
A dozen. Claret Tulip sets twelve red roses among ten white tulips, with small pearl pins in the hearts of the roses. Rose Ladder lays twelve roses out flat so every head shows, and comes in red, pink or white.
20 to 25 roses. The everyday showpiece. Ribbon Cascade is 20 premium red roses in a long, flat wrap. At 25 you can pick the look: Red Promise is a bridal-style posy with pearls and no wrapping paper, Snowfall Red sits in crisp white paper, and Gilded Wings has two gold butterflies resting on the heads.
50 roses. Big enough to be noticed from across the room. Meringue is fifty red roses in a double white wrap with your initial in baby's breath on top. Scarlet Halo rings them with baby's breath and adds pink lilies, and Strawberry Lace mixes red and pink evenly.
100 roses. Black Tie is one hundred premium red roses in black wrap and nothing else. Gala Night adds a thick rim of baby's breath, and Monarch Night adds gold butterflies.
Can't decide? Heart and Wing is the same design at 25, 50, 75 or 100 red roses, so you choose the size and keep the look.

Add a letter, a message or some light
Many of our red rose bouquets are made to carry something personal, which you choose when you order.
- An initial. Ballet Bow and Red Ink put an initial on 25 red roses, and Monogram Noir spells it in small white blooms. Initial in Bloom, Marquee and Meringue do the same on fifty.
- Lights. Marquee runs a string of small LED lights around the ruffle. Coronation has a tiara on top and lights threaded through black mesh.
- Words. Spelled in Roses sets 25 red roses into a box with three sections, an I, a heart and a U, with your message in gold on the lid.
Every order also comes with a card. You type the message at checkout and we tuck it in with the flowers.

Boxes, vases and graduation roses
Not everyone wants a wrapped bouquet. Little Red Hatbox sets premium red roses into a round black hat box tied with a red satin ribbon. Ruby Square lines them up in rows in a black square box, framed by white baby's breath.
If you'd rather send something already in a vase, Island Flame pairs red roses with tropical flowers in a square glass vase.
Red roses are a graduation favourite too. Proud Moment tops them with a mini cap and a rolled diploma, Graduate's Letter adds the graduate's initial, and the Mortarboard Box puts red roses and fillers in a round black box under a little graduation cap.

When red roses are the right choice
Red roses say love more directly than any other flower, which is why they lead on Valentine's Day, anniversaries and proposals. They also work for an apology, or for a partner's birthday when you want the message to be clear.
They aren't right for everyone. For a mother, a friend or a colleague, pink or white roses send warmth without the romance. Our full roses collection has every colour, and the journal's guide to rose colour meanings explains what each one traditionally says.
For a proposal or a surprise at home, pick the Morning window at checkout so the roses arrive before the moment. If you're sending 100, have a wide, heavy vase ready. They're heavier than people expect.

Can you deliver red roses today?
Yes, in most cases. Order by 1 pm and we can deliver the same day to most postal codes in Toronto and York Region. Your exact delivery fee shows at checkout once you enter the postal code.
How many red roses should I send?
There's no rule. A dozen is the classic way to say I love you. 25 suits a birthday or an early anniversary, 50 is often chosen for a 50th or a golden anniversary, and 100 is the size people pick for proposals. Our roses page has a fuller guide to what each number usually means.
Can I add a name or a message?
Yes. Several designs carry an initial you choose when you order, Spelled in Roses has your message in gold on the lid, and every order comes with a card with your words on it. Prices are never included with a delivery.
How long do red roses last?
Usually about a week, sometimes longer. Recut the stems on an angle, use a clean vase with fresh water and flower food, change the water every two days and keep them away from heaters, sunny windows and ripening fruit.
