Ordering and payment
How do I place an order?
Choose a bouquet or arrangement in our shop and pick a size. At checkout, enter the delivery address, date and time window, then type your card message. Pay securely by card in the payment window that opens next, and your email confirmation arrives as soon as the payment goes through.
How can I pay?
We accept major credit and debit cards through our secure card checkout. For wedding, event and corporate work, we send a written quote first and explain how payment works before anything is booked.
Do your prices include tax?
Prices are shown before tax. HST of 13% is added at checkout, along with the delivery fee for your postal code. You'll see the full total, with tax and delivery, before you pay.
Can I change my order after placing it?
Contact us as soon as you can at (437) 291-5605 or support@larisflorist.com. Changing the date, address or card message is easiest before we start making your flowers, so the sooner you get in touch, the better.
What if my flowers arrive damaged or the order is wrong?
Contact us within 24 hours of delivery, ideally with a photo, and we'll send a replacement or give you a refund. Because flowers are perishable, we can't accept returns for any other reason.
Can I pick up my order from your studio?
Not right now. We're delivery only for the moment, so our studio in Oak Ridges isn't open for pickup or walk-ins. We deliver seven days a week, and same day when you order by 1 pm. If the timing is tight or the address is tricky, call us on (437) 291-5605 and we'll help you plan it.
Delivery
What's the cutoff for same-day delivery?
Order by 1 pm for same-day delivery. Availability depends on the postal code, so enter the recipient's postal code at checkout to see which dates are open.
Which areas do you deliver to?
York Region and Toronto, seven days a week, including Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket, East Gwillimbury, King City, Stouffville, Bradford, Markham, Vaughan, Thornhill and Keswick. Not sure we reach an address? Call (437) 291-5605 and ask. Our delivery page explains how fees work.
How much does delivery cost?
Fees depend on the driving distance from our Richmond Hill studio, starting from $12. Your exact fee appears at checkout. Orders of $300 or more (before tax) get free delivery within 35 km driving distance of our studio. Addresses further out pay their usual delivery fee.
Can I choose a delivery time?
You can choose a window: Anytime, Morning (until 1 pm) or Afternoon (from 1 pm). We can't promise an exact time, so if timing matters, pick the narrowest window that works for you.
What happens if nobody is home?
Add the recipient's phone number and any instructions, like a side door or concierge, at checkout. If we can't reach anyone and there's no safe, shaded spot to leave the flowers, we'll contact you to agree on next steps.
Do you deliver to hospitals and offices?
Yes. For hospitals, include the patient's full name and room or unit number, and check that the ward allows flowers. For offices, add the company name, a contact person and the floor or suite number.
Gifts and card messages
Will the recipient see the price?
No. Prices are never included with a delivery. They get the flowers and your card, nothing with a price on it. Your receipt and order confirmation go to your email, not theirs.
Who writes the card?
You do. Type your message at checkout exactly as you'd like it to read, including how you want to sign it, and we tuck the card in with the flowers. A card comes with every order.
Can I send flowers anonymously?
Yes. Leave the signature blank, or sign with an initial or a hint. Your name stays on the order for our records, but it isn't written on the card unless you include it in your message.
Can I add a gift to my flowers?
Not online yet. We're still setting up add-ons, and they're coming soon. Until then, call us on (437) 291-5605 and ask what we can send along with your flowers.
What should I write on the card?
Keep it short and personal. One or two sentences is plenty: what the occasion is, and something only you would say. 'Happy birthday, Mom. Still the best cook I know' beats a long message every time.
Freshness and care
How long will my flowers last?
Most bouquets and arrangements last five to seven days with good care. Carnations, chrysanthemums and lilies often last longer. Peonies and some garden roses open quickly and put on a shorter, more generous show.
How do I care for a hand-tied bouquet?
Trim about 2 cm off the stems at an angle and place them in a clean vase with cool water. Change the water every two days, trimming the stems each time, and keep the vase away from heat, direct sun and ripening fruit.
Do I need to add water to a vase arrangement?
Yes, every day. Arrangements drink more than you'd think, especially in the first few days. Top up with cool, clean water and pull out any stems that fade, so the rest stay looking fresh.
Are your flowers safe for pets?
Not all of them. Lilies are highly toxic to cats, including the pollen and vase water, and several other flowers can upset pets if eaten. If the recipient has a cat or dog, mention it in your order notes and we'll design around it.
Will my bouquet look exactly like the photo?
Very close. Every bouquet is made by hand from that day's flowers, so no two are identical. If a particular stem isn't at its best, we swap it for one of equal or higher value in the same colours, and the overall look and size stay the same.
Subscriptions
How does Petal Post work?
Petal Post is our flower subscription. Pick a size (Postcard, Letter or Parcel), choose every week, every two weeks or once a month, then set the delivery day, the time of day and the date of the first delivery. We call to confirm the details and set up payment, and from then on the flowers arrive on schedule.
What flowers will I get?
That's the surprise. Each delivery is a new design made from what's in season and looking its best that week, so no two are the same. If there are colours you love or flowers you'd rather skip, add a note when you sign up and we'll design around it.
Can I send Petal Post as a gift?
Yes. Choose "As a gift", add their name and address, and write a card for the first delivery. You can send 3, 6 or 12 deliveries, or keep it going until you cancel.
How do I pay?
Nothing is charged online. Once your request comes in, the studio calls you to go over the details and set up payment before the first delivery.
Can I pause, skip or cancel?
Yes. Call or email us to skip a delivery, pause while you're away, change the day or size, or cancel. Changes made at least two days before a delivery apply to that delivery, and we'll confirm when the next one is coming.
Is Petal Post available for offices?
Yes. Choose "For the office" and add the company name. It works the same way: weekly, every two weeks or monthly, Monday to Saturday. For several spaces or a whole building, get in touch through our corporate page and we'll plan it with you.
Where do you deliver Petal Post?
Across our delivery area in York Region and Toronto. Delivery is priced by driving distance from our studio in Richmond Hill, and you'll see the fee for the address as soon as you enter the postal code, before you send anything.
Rewards and referrals
How do rewards points work?
You earn 1 point for every dollar spent on flowers, added once the order is delivered. Every 20 points is worth $1 off a future order, and you can use your points at checkout when you're signed in to your account.
How much are my points worth?
Twenty points equal $1 off. So $100 of flowers earns 100 points, which is worth $5 toward your next bouquet. Points have no cash value, but they add up if you send flowers for birthdays and anniversaries through the year.
How does the referral program work?
Give $10, get $10. Share your referral link with a friend and they get $10 off their first order. Once their order has been delivered, we add $10 in credit to your account for your next order.
When do I receive my referral credit?
Your $10 credit is added after your friend's first order has been delivered, not when it's placed. You'll see it in your account, ready to use the next time you order flowers.
Do I need an account to earn points?
Yes. Points and referral credit are tracked through your Laris Florist account, so sign in or create one at checkout to make sure every order counts toward your rewards.
