The design
About Lily Veil
Fifty roses in a mix of white and pink make the base of this lily bouquet, and lilies open across the top like a veil. Pink lilies and white lilies sit side by side, their long petals spilling over the rose dome. In the photo the roses lean warm, with soft peach tones among them. Blush paper wraps it all, finished with long pink ribbon.
It is big and romantic but still soft, a middle ground between a classic rose bouquet and something that feels more like a garden. Made for proposals, anniversaries, birthdays and Valentine's Day, and especially for someone who would find a hundred red roses a bit much.
One size: 50 roses with lilies, $195. It arrives as a wrapped bouquet, designed by hand in our Oak Ridges studio. If the recipient has a cat, please tell us in the order notes; lilies are toxic to cats, and we will design around it. If you order by 1 pm, we can deliver it the same day to most postal codes in Richmond Hill, York Region and Toronto.

Care guide
How to care for Lily Veil
Five small habits that add days to any bouquet, then the tips that matter for these flowers.
Into water, fast
Unwrap it and get the stems into water as soon as it arrives. The wrap looks lovely, but stems cannot drink through paper.
A fresh cut
Trim about 2 cm off each stem at an angle with sharp scissors or a knife. A clean, slanted cut gives them more room to drink.
Clean vase, cool water
Fill a clean vase with cool water and stir in the flower food if there is a sachet. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
Every two days
Change the water and give the stems a small trim. Cloudy water is the quickest way to shorten a bouquet's life.
Choose the spot
Keep it away from direct sun, heaters, drafts and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, a gas that ages flowers faster.
Flower by flower
Roses
Keep every leaf above the waterline. If a head starts to droop, recut the stem and stand it in a few centimetres of warm water for an hour.
Lilies
Pull off the orange pollen tips as each flower opens, with a tissue, to save petals and tablecloths from stains. Snip faded blooms so the buds keep coming.
For this design
- The lilies spill over the edge of the rose dome, so unwrap the blush paper slowly from the base to keep the long petals from bruising.
A note for pet homes
Lilies are highly toxic to cats, including the pollen and the vase water, so keep this one well away from them. If they have a pet, say so in your order notes and we will design around it.
