The design
About Sugared Peonies
Fifty soft pink peonies, most of them fully open and ruffled, fill this bouquet from edge to edge, with a few tighter buds tucked in at the rim. Pink baby's breath is scattered over the top like sugar on a cake. Crisp white paper wraps it over a blush tissue lining, with a sheer white ribbon at the stems.
This is a big, generous armful for the peony lover in your life: the friend who slows down at every garden in June, or the sister who has a peony candle on the go all year. Fifty stems turn a room into a small celebration, so it suits a milestone birthday, a big thank you or an apology that needs to land.
This one is $270 and comes as a wrapped bouquet, with your gift message tucked in among the stems. Peonies have a short natural season, so if a stem is not at its best on the day, we swap it for one of equal or higher value in the same colours, keeping the look and size.

Care guide
How to care for Sugared Peonies
Five small habits that add days to any bouquet, then the tips that matter for these flowers.
Into water, fast
Unwrap it and get the stems into water as soon as it arrives. The wrap looks lovely, but stems cannot drink through paper.
A fresh cut
Trim about 2 cm off each stem at an angle with sharp scissors or a knife. A clean, slanted cut gives them more room to drink.
Clean vase, cool water
Fill a clean vase with cool water and stir in the flower food if there is a sachet. Strip any leaves that would sit below the waterline.
Every two days
Change the water and give the stems a small trim. Cloudy water is the quickest way to shorten a bouquet's life.
Choose the spot
Keep it away from direct sun, heaters, drafts and the fruit bowl. Ripening fruit gives off ethylene, a gas that ages flowers faster.
Flower by flower
Peonies
Closed buds open in a day or two in room-temperature water. Want them to wait for the weekend? Keep the vase somewhere cool.
Baby's breath
It dries beautifully. When the rest of the bouquet is done, hang a few stems upside down somewhere dark and dry for a keepsake.
For this design
- The blush tissue lining sits inside the white paper; take both off together from the stem end so the pink baby's breath on top is not knocked loose.
A note for pet homes
The peonies and baby's breath here can upset cats and dogs if eaten. If they have a pet, say so in your order notes and we will design around it.

How many peonies come in Sugared Peonies?
Fifty soft pink peonies, most fully open and ruffled, with a few tighter buds at the edge. Pink baby's breath is scattered over the top, and the bouquet is wrapped in white paper over a blush tissue lining.
Why aren't all the peonies open?
A few tighter buds are part of the design. Peonies open quickly once they are in water and somewhere warm, so the buds unfold after delivery and the bouquet gets fuller rather than peaking all at once.
Is the baby's breath really pink?
Yes. In this design the baby's breath is pink rather than the usual white, scattered across the peonies like sugar. It keeps the whole bouquet in one soft colour family, from the blooms to the blush tissue inside the wrap.
Can I get 50 peonies delivered in Toronto?
Yes. We deliver across Toronto and York Region seven days a week from our studio in Oak Ridges, Richmond Hill. Order by 1 pm for same-day delivery to most postal codes, or choose a future date at checkout.
